Oakland County Prosecutor Candidate Online Forum

31 October 2020
Oakland County Prosecutor Candidate Online Forum

Across the state, people are protesting to demand police accountability. Racist policing and Michigan’s incarceration crisis are tearing apart families and exacerbating racial injustice—all while failing to improve public safety.

No single person in Michigan has as much power to bring these crises to an end as the prosecuting attorney.

Join the ACLU of Michigan, MI Liberation, and the Working Families Party for an online Prosecutor Candidate Forum for Oakland County. You'll have the opportunity to hear from candidates about their platform and ask questions. Prosecutors are elected officials and should reflect the views and priorities of their constituents. Join us.

All Oakland County candidates for prosecuting attorney were invited to participate in this event, moderated by Judge Debra Nance. To date, Lin Goetz and Karen McDonald have confirmed their participation.

The ACLU of Michigan is a nonpartisan organization and does not support or endorse candidates.
